Description

High Purity Bismuth 5N 6N, an odorless, silver white or reddish metallic luster solid with atomic weight 208.98, density 9.80g/cm³ and melting point 271.4°C, is a non-toxic and green metal, and stable in both dry and moist air with lower oxidation at room temperatures, and do not react with oxygen or water. High purity bismuth can be purified to 99.999% and 99.9999% by electrolytic refining from commercially marketed bismuth metal, zone-refining process and by crystallization in electromagnetic fields, which has a very high electrical resistance and the highest Hall effect. High Purity Bismuth is primarily used in the manufacturing of compound semiconductor materials, high purity alloys, thermoelectric converting elements, electronic refrigerating elements, and liquid carrier for the cooling in the atomic reactor etc.
