Description
High Purity Boron 3N 4N 5N 6N or high pure halogenated boron, a very hard, lubricant black or brown material with atomic weight 10.81, density 2.35g/cm3 and a high melting point of above 2300°C, which is not soluble in water but dissolved in boiling nitric acid, sulfuric acid and most of the molten metals. Boron has chemical reaction with fluoride at room temperature but not affected by hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid in aqueous solution. High pure boron can be purified up to 99.999% and 99.9999% by advanced purification techniques.
