Description
Germanium Oxide GeO2 or germanium dioxide 99.999% and 99.9999% 5N 6N purity, a white powder or colorless crystal, CAS No 1310-53-8, melting point 1115ºC and specific gravity 6.239g/cm3, practically insoluble in water, is manufactured in both crystalline and amorphous forms. Germanium dioxid GeO2 is transparent to infrared light and its refractive index (1.65) and optical dispersion properties make it as an useful optical materials application. Germanium Dioxide has an prospects in the applications for wide-angle lenses, in optical microscope objective lenses, the core of optical fibers, IR windows and lenses, night-vision technology in the military, luxury vehicles and thermographic cameras.
