Holmium Ho with Ho/RE purity of 99.5%, 99.9% and TRE 99.0% at Western Minmetals (SC) Corporation can be delivered various form of powder, lump, chunk, granule and ingot in package of 10kg or 25kg plastic bag filled argon gas protection with iron drum outside, or as customized specification to the prefect solution.
Holmium Ho is widely used in magneto-optical material, yttrium iron and yttrium aluminum garnet additive, magnetic refrigeration alloy Terfenol-D, optical communication devices such as fiber laser, fiber amplifier, fiber sensor and so on, and as an additive for the manufacture of metal halogen lamps to greatly improve the radiation efficiency. Holmium oxide is known as the most paramagnetic substance, and holmium compounds can be used as additives for new ferromagnetic materials. Holmium laser crystal is also produced for non-invasive or minimally invasive surgery in medicine.
