Samarium Oxide

Description

Samarium Oxide Sm₂O₃ 99.99% 4N, a light yellow powder with melting point 2262°C and density 8.35g/cm³, is easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide in the air, insoluble in water, but slight soluble in acid. Samarium Oxide magnetic moment is 1.45M•B which is different from other rare earth oxides. Samarium Oxide Sm2O3 should be kept in cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse with the container tightly closed and away from moisture and air. Samarium Oxide Sm₂O₃ is mainly used as additives for luminescent glasses, photosensitive material paint, samarium drilling permanent magnet materials and samarium metal production. Samarium Oxide also finds more application in the manufacture of electron device and ceramic resistor etc.
