Description

High Purity Terbium Oxide Tb₄O₇ 99.9%, 99.99%, a brown amorphous powder with melting point 2340°C and density 7.3g/cm³, is insoluble in water but soluble in acid, easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide in the air become carbonate. Terbium Oxide Tb₄O₇ should be stored in cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse with the container tightly closed and away from moisture and air. Terbium Oxide Tb₄O₇can be used as additives for yttrium iron and yttrium aluminum garnet, raw material for producing terbium metal, activator for phosphor and fluorometer for X-ray sensitized paper. Terbium Oxide also finds more application in making magneto-optic glass, magneto-optical storage materials, fluorescent powder, plane display plasma etc.
