Description
High Purity Terbium Oxide Tb4O7 99.9%, 99.99%, a brown amorphous powder with melting point 2340°C and density 7.3g/cm3, is insoluble in water but soluble in acid, easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide in the air become carbonate. Terbium Oxide Tb4O7 should be stored in cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse with the container tightly closed and away from moisture and air. Terbium Oxide Tb4O7 can be used as additives for yttrium iron and yttrium aluminum garnet, raw material for producing terbium metal, activator for phosphor and fluorometer for X-ray sensitized paper. Terbium Oxide also finds more application in making magneto-optic glass, magneto-optical storage materials, fluorescent powder, plane display plasma etc.
